FACTS about paint correction
Paint correction, also known as “buffing” or “polishing,” can help remove various visual defects such as scratching, swirling, scuffs, holograms and marring. There are 4 stages of paint correction. Stage 1 paint correction can generally fix up to 50% of paint imperfections whereas stage 2 paint correction will fix 85%+ correctable defects. Stage 3 is considered a multi step correction where our technicians will chase out any and all correctable defects for a 95%+ defect free finish. Stage 3 is generally only recommended for show cars or clients who demand the absolute best. Wet sanding, which is involved in stage 4, is a process we only advise under certain circumstances to remove clear coat defects such as orange peel.
What it is
Have you ever noticed what appears to be spider webs on the paint of your automobile when it’s exposed to the sun or a street lamp? Paint Correction can correct a variety of flaws on your vehicle’s surface that are reflected back by light. This is accomplished by smoothing down the painted surfaces with a variety of techniques, equipment, and chemicals. This is a time-consuming process that demands patience, experience, and meticulous attention to detail. The end result improves the shine effect and gives your car’s paint a new appearance.

Why is it important
Paint correction is a crucial step in the process of protecting the paint on your vehicle. Before applying paint protection film or a ceramic coating, we recommend that you go through this process.
Because PPF and/or Ceramic coatings cover up your clear coat, we recommend using this protection only when your clear coat is at its best for the greatest end effect. In some circumstances, Ceramic coatings can bring out minor flaws in the paint, which we wish to prevent.
How it works
This time-consuming procedure starts with a decon, or “decontamination,” which is not the same as a simple wash. It begins with a foam bath, which aids in the removal of dirt and grime from the car. Then there’s Iron Remover, which bleeds out all of the paint’s fallout and metal particles. The clay bar comes next. A qualified member of our staff goes over every inch of your vehicle with a clay bar to remove any impurities that won’t come off with routine cleaning. The actual paint repair processes then commence.
The first step in the paint correction process is to correct the problem. Our professional-grade tools are used in conjunction with a microfiber cutting pad and a cutting compound to remove 85 percent or more of the correctable faults. This is accomplished by resurfacing the clear coat’s top layer. Polishing is the second step of a two-stage paint correction, and it removes haze and improves paint clarity to bring out the shine and gloss. Consider your clear coat to be your kitchen window, and your paint to be the lovely outdoors: if the window is dusty and opaque, your view of the outside is harmed. Your paintwork will look clean, bright, and POP with an enhanced shine effect after refinishing the clear coat and boosting clarity.
